Some great reading Dot! The Book Thief was my top read from last year - I still can't get it out of my head.

Happy New Year!
Love the list, Dot. I think you did brilliantly well reading 64 books in 2009. I managed 51 and only partially read one of those so perhaps you could say 50.
I'm with Karen on The Book Thief as it was my favourite read of 2009but I also loved GLPPPS by Mary Ann Shaffer, which came in a very close second and then in joint third Beyond Black by Hilary Mantell and My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier. All of the stories and characters are still very clearly fixed in my mind.
So 2010 should be a great reading year as I already have a glorious TBR pile and that is without all the fab titles I will be hunting for from my wish list.
I have really enjoyed your reviews, Dot and thank you for introducing me to The Book Thief and Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca, both of which I read because you made them sound so special.

I've added you to my Must Read list because anyone who loved The Vampyr is a friend of mine. (Although my copy was called Lord of the Dead - definitely the same book, though!) Also - you loved The Time Traveler's Wife...so, clearly, we're kindred spirits! Next you'll be telling be you're a fan of 'Buffy'!

The Time Traveler's Wife was one of my favourite books from last year, I think I will be re-reading it again this year at some point. Your blog is lovely, I shall be popping back to see what you have been reading, Happy New Year!

It ust be really great to look over what you've achieved trhoughout the year, and think about what you've enjoyed and what you havn't.

64 books is a lot - im aiming for 60 this year and Im not sure ill get there.

My favourite read of 2009 would either have been Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell or The Vintner's Luck by Elizabeth Knox. I found them amazing!

Becky- It is nice to be able to look back and see what books I have enjoyed. I tried reading Gone With the Wind last year but I unfortunately gave up, might have to give it another got this year as I only ever hear good things about it.
