I missed BTT last week but here's my answer to this weeks question:Do you keep all your unread books together, like books in a waiting room? Or are they scattered throughout your shelves, mingling like party-goers waiting for the host to come along?
I am very particular about this, all of my TBR books are kept separately on the top shelf of my favourite bookcase. I like to see what I have to choose from and as this bookcase is at the top of my stairs, I tend to pass it several times a day, so this gives me plenty of time to choose which book will be next. I think that if I didn't put all of my TBR books in one place then I would forget what I had bought and then they would just be replaced by even more! What about you?

My bookshelves are filled to the brim so I'm now stacking my TBR books at a corner of our storage room, LOL.
I see my unread books several times a day too - well most times of the day as they're in most rooms of the house!

I do forget what I've got waiting to be read - so I have to keep looking at them -LOL. Oh and I keep buying more!

I don't have a favourite bookcase - I only have the one! I generally shift the older TBR to the bookcase since I like the newer ones to be near me - one of the many strange behaviours of a bibliophile. :-)
I wish I could be so ordered, but sadly I'm not.

:) That's neat! I select books you know and keep it on my desk... go through them and put the one's back that I am not going to read :)
I really like to focus on one book! but then end with 2-3 at one time :)

Just thought I'd mention I've read 'The forgotten garden' and loved it!
Me too, I need to stack up mine together into pile or else I forget what books I buy. And if it scarring every-where I can't find the books I want to read than :)

ya same here, If I dont keep all my TBR at one place I kind of forget I even have them :) I have discover a few forgotten gems accidentally kept in my Read pile.

I like to open my cupboard every day and review my TBR titles. They don't stay sorted for very long though!
Too mny books and not enough space to have them all on shelves! Read are shelved and unread are boxed. Just means I have to buy more boxes as I buy more books!
In an ideal world, my books would all be in one place, but I don't think I would ever separate the unreads from the reads.
I tried hard not to add more unread books so that I can keep all the books in perfect order based on its writer and genre

I have more books that I haven't yet read than I do books that I have read, so this isn't a particular problem for me.
you mean you only have that top shelf for your TBR pile? that's it? I wish I was that organized :)
Now that's a great system! Mine are all together....mostly.
