Booking Through Thursday: Celebrities?
Do you read celebrity memoirs? Which ones have you read or do you want to read? Which nonexistent celebrity memoirs would you like to see?
I occasionally read celebrity memoirs but they are not my favourite type of book! Probably the most high-brow celebrity memoir I have read is Living History by Hilary Clinton. I'm sure some people would not class her as a celebrity but this book was truly fascinating. You get a real feel for how the White House works behind the scenes and she is extremely honest about how she handled her husband's now infamous affair.
The other celebrity memoirs I have read recently are a little more trashy! I was bought the Girls Aloud memoir, Dreams that Glitter for my birthday and I love them so I really enjoyed reading about how they have been so successful.
I also read Alan Carr's autobiography a couple of weeks ago and that was excellent as well, it had me laughing out loud several times. I have to be really interested in the person in order to read someones memoirs, it's quite a personal choice of book in that way.

That Hilary Clinton book is something I have thought of buying many times, but haven't.
The second cover is gorgeous, I would kind of like to read it too :)
Never thought of Hilary Clinton, bet that would be a great book to read!
Hilary Clinton would be interesting. I have always have dramas with fonts in blogger - have given up worrying about it now!
I don't tend to read celebrity memoirs either. I did read a biography of the Clintons which was interesting
The Hilary Clinton book sounds interesting. I've read two celebrity memoirs, but overall, I don't read them regularly.
I think I might like Hilary Clinton's. I'm starting to ge abit of a list going here!
Great post! I said Hilary Clinton as well!
Nicole- I tried to comment on your blog just now but it said that the comments were closed. Just wanted to say that I read No Time For Goodbye by Linwood Barclay last summer and I really enjoyed so I hope that you like that one!
I will read a celebrity memoir if I want to know more about someone that I like and admire!

I've thought about reading Hilary's book, but I don't really read many celebrity memoirs.
I hadn't thought of reading Clinton's book but it might come up in the distant future. Strangely (rare as a Texan) I abhor politics though.
I forgot about Hilary Clinton. I loved that book too.
I agree, I have to have a certain interest in the person in order to read the memoir also. Oh, and some of the 'trashy' ones are the best!! Heeheeehee
Have a great weekend!
Oh, I actually want to read Dreams That Glitter, I'm just waiting for the paperback! So you say it's good stuff? :)
