I didn't even think of Shakespeare! But for me it would have been Hamlet. Would like to read the Secret History.

Shari- Hamlet's excellent too, I think I picked King Lear because I studied it at school and the teacher I had was brilliant.

Yup, that's why I love Hamlet! Actually we did King Lear as well, and I enjoyed it, but I got to read the part of Hamlet in class, so really got into the character!

I haven't read anything by Roald Dahl yet, although I love the movie Matilda. We do have quite a few books similar :)

I really should have had Jane eyre on mine! Not sure what I'd have taken off though. I'm reading Rebecca at the moment. I really didn't think I was going to like it, but loving it so far.

Thx for visiting. If you really want to try reading Stephen King don’t expect too much…because it might not be your genre!! (A tip from a big fans :) )

I forgot Kite Runner :( and I'm still searching for Mockingbird

Jo- Pleased that you're reading Rebecca, hope that you enjoy it! It was hard to narrow it down to just 15 books wasn't it!

Novroz- I shall have to do more Stephen King research, I used to love horror books when I was younger but I haven't read a good one for quite a while!

I loved reading Rebecca. My aunt read that one too and I go around randomly saying to her, "Maxim, oh Maxim."

Hi Dot - I have only just discovered your blog and am so glad I have - it's great! I agree with so many of the books on your list too - The Book Thief would definitely have been top of the list for me and having just finished re-reading I Capture The Castle it would have been there too.

Great list - love To Kill a Mockingbird, P&P and Twillight. I will have to read Rebecca - have heard wonderful things about it but have not read it yet.

I'm still ruing missing out Gatsby. Was avoiding children's books, but it's up for debate which Roald Dahl I would've included. Matilda was amazing, but then again, so was The Witches and The BFG and Boy!

Book Thief was a good read... and I really really need to read Pride & Prejudice. Might be the only person in the whole wide world who hasn't read it!

You've got some great ones listed there. I really loved the Book Thief, Rebbeca, After You'd Gone, Kite Runner, and Ann Frank's Diary too. My list goes back a few years because I'm older. This is a fun meme. I'm glad I've discovered your blog too.

Great list, Dot. My Dahl book would be The BFG, loved reading that to my boys when they were small. 15 really isn't enough, I keep thinking of more great books!
Happy BTT.
